Job Summary:
We’re seeking a results-driven IT Project Manager with experience in life insurance. You'll lead complex cross-functional technology projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with business strategy, regulatory compliance, and client needs. This is a high-impact role supporting value stream teams, business leaders, and external vendors to drive transformation. You will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions while supporting multiple initiatives and value streams within the organization. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in applying project management and agile skills for implementing technology solutions with extensive knowledge in the Life insurance domain.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee technical projects involving life insurance systems, including policy administration, underwriting platforms, and claims processing.
  • Lead Agile Teams using Kanban or other agile frameworks adapting to fit organizational needs.
  • Manage project risks, timelines, reporting and budgets using tools like Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint.
  • Facilitate cross-functional team coordination, including developers, QA, and vendor partners.
  • Coordinate and manage internal resource capacity to align with project timeline and budget.
  • Communicate effectively with senior leadership, providing updates, insights, and risk mitigation plans.
  • Maintain relationships with vendors and third-party service providers to ensure deliverables meet contractual obligations and quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, cybersecurity standards, and data privacy policies.

Qualifications


Qualifications: 

  • 7–10 years of IT project management experience, preferably in life insurance, annuities, or financial services.
  • PMP, CAPM, CSM, CSPO, or other related certifications preferred.
  • Proven expertise in Agile/Scrum practices, with experience facilitating daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with policy administration systems, claims platforms, and digital insurance tools.

  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills with the ability to navigate complex business challenges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to facilitate meetings and manage stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities across multiple value streams and initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead by example and foster mentoring relationships.
  • Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize in a changing environment.
