Salary: $60,000-65,000/yr
The Staff Accountant position is an integral part of PMC’s Corporate finance and administration department. The position is responsible for computing and preparing data for journal entries, general ledger, and related financial statements; performs day-to-day general accounting functions and payroll administration.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Staff Accountant duties shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Prepares general ledger journal entries, fixed asset tracking, monthly balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliation.
- Generates and files monthly financial reports.
- Develops, analyzes, and prepares periodic financial statements for timely distribution to management.
- Assists with accounts payable functions including but not limited to verifying invoices, expense reports, check requests, and purchase requisitions; entering data into accounts payable system; and processing weekly check runs.
- Assists with accounts receivable functions including but not limited to applying payments to appropriate accounts, monthly invoicing, reconciling customer accounts, and handling customer inquiries.
- Assists with administration.
- Assists with budget preparation.
- Prepares and analyzes monthly journals.
- Performs daily banking procedures.
- Maintains fixed asset and related depreciation schedules.
- Assists with annual external audits.
- Analyzes and reconciles general ledger accounts.
- Prepares account analyses and reconciliation.
- Reviews and analyzes the organization's accounting operation; recommends improvements.
- Demonstrates a high level of professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues.
- Assists with related special projects as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned by manager.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or equivalent in related field required. CPA candidate preferred.
- Experience: two to four years related experience required.

- Knowledge of SharePoint/OneDrive, and other email/collaboration technologies.

Working Conditions
This job predominantly works from a professional office environment, with occasional work from a personal home office, but may require some travel to hospital/clinical and corporate office locations.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. This position required intermittent physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and crouching as well as lifting (up to 50 lbs.) and driving.

Reporting Structure
The Staff Accountant position reports directly to the Corporate Controller.
