Compensation
$83,280 - $99,000
Exempt Grade 16
- Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas offers excellent competitive compensation with the goal of retaining and growing talented team members. The compensation range for this role is a good faith estimate, it is estimated based on what a successful candidate might be paid. What you’ll do
- Develops and oversees compliance required documentation of regulatory activities including Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) regulations.
- Maintains current knowledge and application of state and federal compliance mandates to ensure data, policies, and processes meet management and regulatory compliance requirements and implements required changes to ensure compliance.
- Manages the Telecommuting Policy and remote working arrangements to ensure appropriate compliance requirements are met.
- Monitors state and federal laws and regulations to comply with changes in the law related to employment compliance, such as Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP), Department of Labor (DOL), United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
- Manages Employment Law compliance posting requirements for instate and out of state employees.
- Responsible for employment compliance related audit activities with external auditors and performs internal HR process and documentation audits to ensure compliance and process consistency.
- Collaborates with external recruitment vendors, business leaders, employees, and applicants to improve client understanding and consistent application of the organization's employment processes and procedures.
- Educates leadership, Diversity, Equality and Inclusion (DEI), and Talent Acquisition Partners as needed regarding OFCCP, EEO, Remote Work, ICE/USCIS regulations, policies, and procedures ensure corporate wide HR compliance.
- In partnership with external counsel, manages immigration activities with non-citizen employees or candidates for employment, business leaders and talent acquisition partners. Monitors various ongoing immigration matters.
- Oversee ICE and Office of Homeland Security (OHS) inspections, investigations and/or audits.
What you need
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field. In lieu of degree, a minimum of 4+ years' proven experience in Human Resources roles with a solid understanding of employment laws and regulations.
- Minimum of 5+ years' experience in Human Resources or related field.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal and conflict resolutions skills, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with tact and discretion.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Must have work experience that demonstrates the use of tact and diplomacy in applicant, regulatory agency, employee, peer and leadership interactions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must have demonstrated work experience that shows timely and accurate record keeping and excellent quality driven methods to produce information used for internal and external audits, reporting, and/or decision-making by leadership.
- Strong technical background in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Bonus if you have
- Previous experience supporting or leading audit responses for OFCCP and URAC preferred.
- Previous experience in immigration compliance, documentation, or related processes is preferred.
- Previous experience in preparing and responding to audits conducted by USCIS and the DOL is preferred.
- HR certification preferred.
- Workday experience preferred.
