JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position Summary
The Senior Accountant will support the Corporate Accounting team and will primarily be responsible for the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close, particularly for fixed assets, cloud computing arrangements, intangible assets, and M&A accounting as it relates to the areas above. The position will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of fixed assets in the Oracle Fixed Assets module, preparing journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and supporting the internal and external audit process.
Responsibilities :
Capitalization of costs from construction in progress (CIP) and R&M in a timely manner.
Maintenance of information for the Projects and Fixed Asset modules.
Responsible for validating coding of fixed asset-related invoices.
Assist in coordinating the physical asset verification exercise.
Perform Balance Sheet Account reconciliation and PP&E Roll Forward
Ensure SOX compliance by adhering to internal control requirements, maintaining updated documentation, and providing recommendations as appropriate.
Assist with the preparation of quarterly/yearly disclosures as required by the company, external auditors, the SEC, and other regulatory authorities.
Establish productive relationships within the accounting team and other departments.
Provide accurate and timely responses to requests from internal customers including accounting, finance, and operations.
Assist with other ad-hoc projects as necessary.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields
3+ years of relevant accounting experience
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Strong communication and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Business, Accounting
Holds CPA/Progress towards CPA
Experience with Workday Financials and/or Oracle Fusion
