Hybrid Workflow Applications Engineer bei SIGNIANT INC

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Workflow Applications Engineer to join our operations and solutions services team. This role bridges engineering and operations, requiring technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for continuous learning. You will design, develop, and implement efficient, automated workflows across a variety of platforms and applications, ensuring smooth integration, optimized performance, and strong customer satisfaction.

Essential functions

· Design and implement automated workflows tailored to customer needs.

· Develop and deliver reliable, scalable solutions using object-oriented principles and API integrations.

· Program using proprietary tools based on Java and other relevant scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.).

· Work closely with cross-functional teams (software engineering, product, customer service) to gather requirements and identify automation opportunities.

· Ensure seamless integration across diverse systems and applications, including cloud and on-prem infrastructure.

· Monitor application performance to ensure high availability, and troubleshoot workflow issues as needed.

· Clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

· Maintain thorough documentation of workflows, codebases, and technical solutions.

· Manage multiple concurrent projects, issues, and requests in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).

· Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and coding fundamentals.

· Strong experience with APIs, integration, scripting, and command-line tools (Linux/Unix environments).

· Development experience in Java or scripting languages such as Python or Bash.

· Experience with XML and JSON data formats.

· Strong debugging, testing, and troubleshooting skills.

· Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to explain technical concepts clearly.

· Familiarity with workflow automation tools and platforms.

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively on cross-functional teams.

· Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.

Preferred Experience:

· Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and virtualization strategies.

· Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch.

· Background in technical support, solution architecture, or project management.

· Exposure to Agile methodologies and startup or fast-paced environments.

· Experience in the Media, Entertainment, Publishing, or Digital Media industries.

Additional Requirements:

· Availability to occasionally work weekends nights or early mornings as needed.

· Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset.

· Willingness and enthusiasm to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies.
