SUMMARY:

The Commercial Relationship Associate I works closely with and provides support to the Relationship Managers and VP Commercial Team Leaders with direct business member interaction in the areas of commercial deposit accounts, treasury services and loans. This position requires the ability to work with the business unit’s key business members and prospects to assist in the growth of the loan portfolio, manage the existing commercial loan portfolio and resolve service requests while courteously addressing internal and external business member inquiries by working across the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deposit accounts: i) Open and process new accounts including but limited to DDA, Savings and CD’s ii) ensure the integrity of all deposits iii) accurately perform input with quality control and verification of deposit document related data iv) perform teller functions within established guidelines including processing non-cash deposit, payment transactions and wires v) understand and service all deposit products and services

  • Treasury Services: understands the treasury platform and how products work within the depository function, working with the treasury team and RM to assist the business member

  • Loans: assist the RM with the closing process by obtaining closing checklist items required to be provided by the business member and working closely with Commerical Loan Administration

  • Loan portfolio management i) assist by collecting business member information required for timely completion of loan reviews and maturing loans ii) regularly monitor the tickler report and clear ticklers by providing required information iii) assist by monitoring and working with the business member on collection of past due loans within 15 days of delinquency

  • Servicing and Maintenance: provides high level of service to the business members in deposits, loans and treasury services products by understanding the products and following the policy, processes and guidelines within Georgia’s Own

  • Assists other credit union staff including but not limited to treasury services, branch personnel, commercial loan administration and commercial credit to enhance the business member experience

  • Uses, understands and is proficient in commercial software ie Abrigo, MRM and DNA

  • Performs other complex duties and key projects as assigned by manager

EDUCATIONAL AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum 5 years + of banking in areas of sales, customer service experience, commercial lending and or commercial loan operations

  • Professional and effective oral and written communications skills

  • Excellent organizing and planning skills

  • Must be detail oriented

  • Proficiency in use of Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to tactfully interact with customers and employees at all levels Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure and display a professional demeanor at all times Maintains adequate knowledge level of all applicable banking laws and regulations

  • Responsible for maintaining a working knowledge of all compliance regulations pertinent to the day-to­ day responsibilities of this position by successful completion of any courses assigned on a timely basis Comply with the Bank's personnel policies and procedures

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

To perform this job successfully, the employee must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. All employees must be able to communicate face to face or through technology with or without reasonable accommodation. Employee will be in an office environment (well-lighted, heated, and air-conditioned) typically stationed at a desk or table. Employee will be asked to sit and stand for various increments of time, and to lift/push up 10 lbs. Clerical office duties on various forms of technology are required. All positions that have lending responsibilities must comply with all requirements under the SAFE ACT, as well as the Credit Union’s policies and procedures related to the SAFE ACT. This includes an obligation on the employee’s part to ensure that NMLA registration pertaining to the SAFE ACT is kept current. The employee must notify the Credit Union within 30 days of any changes that need to be reflected on the NMLS registry.
