Patient Engagement Advisors (PEA) is seeking a full-time remote Performance Engineer.

Purpose of Job

The Performance Engineer plays a vital role in each guiding principle of our creed and obtaining the goals of the vision/mission of PEA. To accomplish these goals, the Performance Engineer must exhibit empathy, innovation, collaboration, teamwork, passion, dedication to personal development, and a strong commitment to “know the patient”.

The Performance Engineer provides onsite and remote support to identify specific needs of patients through reporting/analytics/performance trends and assists the client team in addressing those needs. Tasks assigned to this position will require an in-depth and broad understanding of problem identification, analysis and resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Manage client relationships and expectations related to PEA services.
  • Communicate program performance outcomes both internally to PEA Corporate and externally to clients.
  • Reviews client Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and analyzes real time data being collected and provides feedback to onsite teams / clients.
  • Utilizes client-specific Electronic Medical Record (EMR) data to identify recommendations to address patient needs.
  • Provide technical documentation and training for PEA Performance software tools, workflows and ongoing client site education.
  • Develops training programs and schedules/leads remote and onsite training activities as needed.
  • Performs “special analytics projects” in accordance with client requests.
  • Defines and documents client partner business goals, functions, need, and processes.
  • In collaboration with PEA and client leadership, determines operational objectives by studying business requirements, gathering information, and evaluating output requirements and formats (Key Performance Indicators).
  • Provides IT related support and filters technology issues to the PEA IT department.
  • Utilizes client specific EMR census reporting to perform quality checks as needed (ensures any discrepancies are reported to the PEA IT department and the client’s appropriate contact immediately).
  • Interacts regularly with client partners and corresponding PEA team members to review the analytics/performance at their site.
  • Execute and facilitate the strategy to develop and maintain PEA Performance office databases that are essential for project and department functionality.
  • Determine and execute best actions for acquiring and abstracting primary or secondary data from existing internal or external data sources.
  • Review, develop, implement and analyze data capture procedures for the purpose of continuous improvement.
  • Design and develop graphs, reports, and presentations of project results.
  • Perform statistical analyses for projects and reports.
  • Create and present quality dashboards using individual customer data.
  • Generate routine and ad hoc reports for internal PEA strategic planning.
  • Track and document changes for functional and business specifications; write detailed, universally understood procedures for permanent records and for use in training.
  • Coordinate and oversee routine market research. Monitor trends.
  • Conduct market research on government and insurance payer reimbursement trends for the purpose of client application.
  • Research and maintain up-to-date understanding of government and insurance payer regulations related to CMS readmissions and patient satisfaction (HCAHPS).


Qualifications And Requirements

  • Two + years experience with relevant software applications, Excel, PowerPoint, MicroStrategy, etc.
  • Ability to present complex information in an understandable and compelling manner
  • Self-starter and able to work autonomously
  • Ability to perform duties under minimum supervision with broad latitude for judgment
  • Ability to travel 1-3 times per month to attend meetings and provide onsite training/support as needed
  • Ability to read, update, and create coded excel spreadsheets
  • Ability to create internal and client presentations
