We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Engineer/Technical Architect with extensive experience in fullstack development, solution architecture, system design, and scaling systems. In this role, you will be 25% hands-on with code and 75% focused on solutioning, designing, and architecting robust and scalable systems. You will work closely with engineering teams, project managers, designers, and engineering leadership to ensure the successful delivery of complex projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Architectural Leadership:

Lead the design and architecture of scalable, reliable, and secure systems, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical best practices.

Provide guidance and lead-by-example on integrating blockchain/Web3 technologies, and drive architectural decisions for fullstack applications, with a focus on React, TypeScript, Node.js, and NestJS.

Be a leader for a documentation-first culture, leveraging principles such as ADRs, DEEP, and more

Hands-On Development:

Contribute to the development of key features and components as needed, focusing on high-impact areas, and conduct code reviews to ensure high-quality code and adherence to architectural standards.

Lead pair programming sessions and has a passion in working with teams on solving problems together

System Scaling:

Lead initiatives to scale existing systems, addressing performance bottlenecks, optimizing resource usage, and ensuring system resilience.

Collaborate on strategies for scaling databases, microservices, and other critical infrastructure components.

Technical Strategy & Innovation:

Contribute to the overall technical strategy, aligning it with business objectives and industry trends, and identify opportunities for innovation within the engineering organization.

Provide technical leadership in designing scalable solutions and best practices, and rigorously identify and solve technical challenges.

Work closely with engineering leadership on architecture decisions and strategy, ensuring alignment on deliverables and roadmap planning

Cross-Team Remote Collaboration & Impact:

Work closely with engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions, while serving as a technical mentor and advisor across teams, helping to elevate engineering standards and practices.

Negotiate with Product Management to meet user needs without sacrificing quality or accruing technical debt, and proactively protect against regressions through a variety of testing techniques.

Make a positive impact on the team's productivity and growth by mentoring engineers, advocating for technical excellence, and fostering a culture of continuous learning.

Required Qualifications:

9+ years of fullstack development experience with a recent focus on React, NextJS, TypeScript, and Node.js.

Proven experience in designing and architecting scalable, high-performance systems with extensive written documentation artifacts.

Hands-on experience with blockchain/Web3 technologies and their integration into larger systems.

Strong DevOps experience, including setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and logging solutions.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with non-technical stakeholders.

Demonstrated experience in leading technical discussions and driving alignment across engineering teams, working closely with engineering leadership.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex technical challenges.

Experience working in a startup or fast-paced environment.

Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

Previous experience in a staff or principal engineer role, with a focus on architecture and solution design.

Demonstrated clear indicators of strong EQ and compassionate camaraderie when working with teams
