Senior AI Engineer – Remote - £75,000-£80,000

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a talented AI Engineer with expertise in Natural Processing (NLP) and Computer Vision to lead their AI team.

We are seeking an experienced AI Engineer who is passionate about AI and has a strong technical background in NLP, Computer Vision, and Python. The ideal candidate will also have experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure, and some front-end development skills in TypeScript, JavaScript, and React. You’ll play a key role in leading a team of junior developers, driving AI projects from concept to implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• AI Development: Design, develop, and implement AI solutions with a focus on Natural Processing and Computer Vision.
• Technical Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of junior developers, guiding them through AI project development and ensuring best practices.
• Python Expertise: Utilise strong Python skills, including data structures, algorithms, and design patterns, to build robust and scalable AI models.
• Cloud Integration: Work with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure to deploy and manage AI applications.
• Front-End Development: Contribute to front-end development using TypeScript, JavaScript, and React as needed.
• Data Management: Use SQL to manage and manipulate data, ensuring data integrity and accessibility for AI models.
• Innovation: Explore and integrate OpenAI and other advanced AI frameworks to enhance our product offerings.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, define technical specifications, and deliver AI solutions that meet business needs.
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an AI Engineer with expertise in Natural Processing (NLP) and Computer Vision.
• Strong programming skills in Python, with a deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Basic front-end development skills in TypeScript, JavaScript, and React.
• Proficiency in SQL for data management.
• Experience with OpenAI or similar AI frameworks is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to guide and mentor a team of junior developers.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to tackling challenges.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
