As a Data Entry Clerk (Remote) / Order Entry Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of orders and data for our company. You will be responsible for entering customer orders into our system, verifying information for accuracy, and assisting in maintaining organized and up-to-date records. This position offers a flexible remote work environment and the opportunity to contribute to the success of our company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter customer orders and related data into the company's database or order management system.
  • Review and verify the completeness and accuracy of order information, including product details, pricing, shipping addresses, and payment information.
  • Communicate with customers and internal teams to clarify and resolve any order-related discrepancies or issues.
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical records of orders, invoices, and other relevant documents.
  • Assist in processing returns, exchanges, and refunds as needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless order processing and efficient workflow.
  • Provide timely updates on order status and resolve any order-related inquiries from customers or team members.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives by identifying and suggesting enhancements to streamline order entry procedures.
  • Maintain a high level of data accuracy and confidentiality in all tasks.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as required by the team or supervisor.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in data entry or office administration is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Data Entry Clerk, Order Entry Clerk, or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in data entry and computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage time effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with order management systems or CRM software is a plus.
  • Knowledge of [industry-specific software/tools] is a bonus.
