Title: Staff Software Engineer
Location: 1414 South Tryon Street, Charlotte, NC 28203
Duties: Provide technical leadership to architects, developers, engineers, and operators in geographically dispersed location. Innovate and develop tools and technologies for enhanced developer experience and productivity. Oversee implementation of complex engineering solutions across the enterprise Design, develop and demonstrate use of fit for purpose open-source technologies. Develop product roadmap, architecture artifacts and delivery strategy for engineering solutions. Establish and maintain development standards and prescriptions. Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to team members and ensuring adherence to coding best practices. Develop long term technical roadmap and continual revenue/cost optimization. Ensure deliverables across engineering teams are high quality and sustainable. Manage and appropriately escalate delivery impediments, risks, issues, and changes tied to the engineering initiatives to the stakeholders.
Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science a closely related field plus five (5) years of progressively responsible experience as an Engineer, Developer, Architect, or in a related technical position performing software design and development. Must have experience with the following: developing RESTful APIs using Spring Boot and Spring Framework, ensuring enterprise grade scalable and maintainable solutions; build tools including Gradle for automating the build, testing and deployment process, enhancing continuous integration and delivery workflows; relational databases including PostgreSQL and NoSQL; databases including MongoDB; design patterns such as SAGA, OOAD, Sidecar, Pub-Sub; Kubernetes and Docker; OpenTelemetry for application observability including understanding of distributed tracing, metrics and logs; Cloud Technologies including AWS and Azure is a plus; and working in a Agile environment using JIRA.
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $154,669 to $203,350/yr, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
