Experience Range: With at least 4 to 6 years of full-stack software development experience, including significant expertise in Java, microservices, API development, and modern UI frameworks such as React JS. Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop robust upload and orchestration engines using AWS SDKs to transfer extracted historic data to S3, implementing nested key structures and rate-limited parallel uploads.
Integrate image handling capabilities in the upload pipeline, ensuring accurate packaging and transfer of TIFF images alongside Swift/XML/JSON payloads and metadata files.
Develop backend APIs in Python and Java to connect extraction layers, metadata generation, and S3 upload steps into a cohesive, batchable pipeline.
Build and maintain a React JS-based self-service UI for operations and engineering teams to trigger, schedule, and monitor batch extraction jobs, including displaying reconciliation results.
Configure and support CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes) for extraction and UI services using Jenkins.
Implement robust exception handling and re-trigger logic for failed or partial batch uploads, coordinating with Data Quality Engineers.
Optimize production-scale batch execution, focusing on performance tuning and scalability of the upload engine for large historic volumes.
Required Skills:
Advanced proficiency in Java for backend and microservices development
Strong experience with Python for API and pipeline integration
Expertise in React JS for building interactive user interfaces
In-depth knowledge of Spring Core and Spring Boot frameworks
Experience with Hibernate for ORM and data access
Proficiency with Oracle RDBMS and MySQL for database integration
Advanced SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation
Practical experience with Docker for containerization
Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration
Hands-on experience with AWS SDKs, specifically S3, for large-volume object uploads
Experience with Jenkins for CI/CD automation
Experience with image handling and integration, including TIFF/BLOB formats
Preferred Skills:
Experience building internal admin or monitoring UIs
Familiarity with metadata generation and reconciliation processes
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a closely related discipline
Certification in AWS Developer or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
