Brief Position Overview
Great Basin Industrial has an immediate opening for an experienced industrial coatings and paint Superintendent. If you are reliable, safety oriented, and have experience leading an industrial coatings team we want to hear from you!
The Superintendent will lead a traveling team of painters utilizing conventional and airless spraying equipment at jobs in the Salt Lake and Denver area and across the country putting the finishing touch on structural steel tanks.
Primary Duties
- Develop and enforce project schedules and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Coordinate work with other contractors and subcontractors, ensuring timely completion of projects.
- Manage overall site safety, ensuring all personnel adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
- Direct and supervise the work of crews, providing support, feedback, and guidance to ensure a quality finished product.
- Communicate with clients, reporting project progress and addressing concerns or issues that arise.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on project progress, ensuring compliance with project documentation requirements.
- Coordinate the mobilization and demobilization of equipment and personnel.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Applicable experience in surface preparation, coating, and application requirements, as well as quality control standards.
- Knowledge of applicable safety regulations, compliance requirements, and environmental standards.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate personnel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with a variety of personnel, clients, and stakeholders.
- Ability to travel and work on a flexible schedule, including weekends and overtime, as required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years experience painting/blasting with spraying equipment and plural component pump is highly preferred.
