As a Procurement Specialist you will be responsible for supporting the procurement of goods and services to meet organizational needs. You will execute core purchasing activities including requisition processing, purchase order creation, and vendor coordination while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
You will partner with internal stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and accurate procurement operations.
What you'll do:
Procurement & Purchasing
Review and process purchase requisitions for goods and services
Obtain vendor quotes and compare pricing options
Create and issue purchase orders (POs)
Track orders and ensure timely delivery
Resolve issues related to pricing, delivery, or invoicing
Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation
Vendor Support
Maintain vendor files, documentation, and required records
Assist with vendor onboarding and documentation collection
Coordinate communications with vendors regarding orders and deliveries
Support vendor performance tracking
Compliance & Administrative Support
Ensure transactions follow company policies and approval processes
Maintain procurement documentation for compliance purposes
Financial & Operational Support
Assist with reconciliation of purchase orders, invoices, and receipts
Support resolution of payment discrepancies with Accounting
Track purchasing activity and basic spend data
Generate standard reports
Process Support
Follow established procurement procedures and workflows
Identify opportunities for process improvements
Support adoption of procurement tools and systems
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent in Business or related field
0-3 years experience in procurement, purchasing or administrative support
Requires strong attention to detail and accuracy
Requires effective communication and customer service skills
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
