Assembly Team Leader at Tramgroup

 

The Assembly Team Leader is responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day production activities to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency targets are consistently met. This role leads by example on the shop floor—coordinating work assignments, enforcing standard work, and supporting operators through hands‑on problem solving and equipment troubleshooting. The Team Leader works closely with production, engineering, and maintenance to address issues, improve processes, and reduce downtime while maintaining accurate time and production records. With a strong focus on continuous improvement and a Kaizen mindset, this position plays a key role in driving performance, meeting production schedules, and upholding TAC’s commitment to operational excellence.

TAC Manufacturing, Inc. is a Japanese owned automotive parts supplier, serving the Japanese Transplants (Toyota, Nissan, Subaru, etc.) as well as the domestic OEMs (Ford and GM).  Located in Jackson, MI, TAC Manufacturing, Inc. is a subsidiary company of Tokai-Rika Co. LTD, which is located in Nagoya, Japan. 

 

TAC was founded in 1991 and currently employs 700+ people at our Jackson, MI location. 

We manufacture security and safety-related products: shift levers, shift-by-wire, steering wheels, exterior mirrors, steering column locks, key cylinders, mechanical and remote keys, and more.
