EMI Services is hiring a Budget Assistant tosupport financial operations by preparing, monitoring, and analyzing budget data, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and assisting with reports. Key duties include reconciling accounts, processing budgetary transactions, and assisting in the development of annual budgets. This role typically requires proficiency in spreadsheets and ERP systems.

Salary

$29.71/ hr. plus $10.00 fringe benefits used towards insurance and 401k!

Responsibilities

  • Assists in preparing annual budgets, forecasting expenditures, and monitoring against approved budgets to ensure fiscal compliance
  • Enters budget data, reviews financial transactions for accuracy, and maintains records for audit purposes
  • Prepares detailed financial reports, spreadsheets, and cost schedules for senior staff or management
  • Reconciles budget discrepancies, including payroll, journal vouchers, and expenditures
  • Coordinates with department personnel to collect budget requests and provides guidance on budget procedures
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel) and familiarity with ERP software 
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work with confidential information
  • Maintain confidentiality of information related to EMI Services, our customers, vendors and employees
  • Adaptable and flexible in work situations
  • Establish priorities to ensure completion of tasks in a timely manner
  • PRACTICES WORKPLACE SAFETY in the use of tools, equipment, and supplies
    • Including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 + years experience in accounting, finance, or administrative services
  • Regular, dependable attendance
  • Valid driver’s license compliant with REAL ID or willing and able to obtain
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
  • U.S. citizenship to Obtain and maintain access to military installations

Physical Requirements

  • Carrying objects/boxes/print-outs short distances
  • Extensive work with a personal computer
  • May require lifting and moving as much as 50 pounds with assistance
  • Use of hands, reaching with hands and arms, talking, and walking
  • Prolonged periods of sitting, bending, squatting, standing, twisting, or stooping
  • May require climbing ladders and entering confined spaces
  • Work both indoors and outdoors in various temperatures (some extreme) and weather conditions
