Essential Responsibilities & Activities:
As a Vice President of Sales and Projects at IAV, you will be responsible for leading the sales, and Project Management Office (PMO) teams. Responsibilities include growing the sales pipeline, promoting products and services, and building client relationships. The VP oversees marketing activities, manages project deliverables, and supports financial closing and forecasting. Additionally, the role involves optimizing team performance, ensuring compliance, and mentoring direct reports. Crucially, the VP is responsible for companywide utilization, revenue and margin targets. This position will be part of the team that builds customer relationships, sales and marketing activities of IAV, build on a global network of experts with IAV.
- Provide strategic leadership to the Sales, Marketing, and Project Management Office (PMO) teams.
- Own and continuously expand the sales pipeline to support sustainable revenue growth.
- Promote the company’s products and services by anticipating, understanding, and addressing client objectives.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing clients, particularly at the senior management and executive levels.
- Initiate and lead business meetings with prospective customers to evaluate program opportunities and solution options.
- Develop, execute, and maintain customer‑specific and cluster‑specific sales strategies.
- Serve as the primary voice of the customer, translating client requirements into commercial proposals and quotations.
- Oversee all marketing activities, including advertising campaigns, social media presence, and content marketing initiatives.
- Lead and manage the PMO function, ensuring effective project governance, project controlling, and on‑time delivery of project milestones.
- Support monthly and annual financial closing, forecasting, and reporting through robust project controlling processes.
- Hold accountability for companywide utilization, revenue, and margin targets.
- Design and implement strategies to optimize organizational performance and achieve financial and operational goals.
- Ensure strong communication, alignment, and collaboration across sales, marketing, and project management teams.
- Ensure staff compliance with IAV policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
- Travel as required to support client engagements, projects, conferences, and trade shows, including international travel.
- Lead, mentor, and develop direct reports to build a high‑performing leadership pipeline.
- Communicate clearly and effectively, while taking responsibility for understanding diverse perspectives.
- Operate effectively within a diverse, global workforce and multicultural business environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of business objectives.

Requirements
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- A minimum of 10 years of business development or sales role in an engineering and/or technical field. Proven work experience leading a sales team or relevant role, preferably experience working in a global automotive industry.
- Strong understanding of automotive engineering and technology trends
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated successful experience working with customers; ability to lead business development and generate high customer satisfaction/feedback
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strategic thinker with an analytical mind.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an aptitude for building relationships with professionals at all organizational levels.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities and work under pressure.
