Civil Designer at LaBella Associates

Description

Help design the infrastructure that shapes everyday life. We create the systems that connect people, places, and opportunity - from complete streets and parks to utilities and civic spaces. As a Civil Designer, you’ll support a variety of public infrastructure projects and learn how smart design strengthens communities.

Duties:

• Assist in preparing site, roadway, stormwater, and utility designs.
• Produce drawings, plans, cost estimates, and technical documents.
• Conduct site visits and assist with construction observation and data collection.
• Support senior engineers in evaluating design alternatives and solving technical challenges.
• Collaborate with teams across planning, environmental, surveying, and other disciplines.
• Engage in design training and mentoring activities that build technical foundation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 0–3 years of experience (internships or co-ops encouraged).
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Familiarity with Civil 3D (preferred, not required).
• Strong communication, teamwork, and curiosity about public infrastructure.

Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000 per year

The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
