This opportunity is suited to an experienced junior-to-mid-level paralegal with 3–5 years’ experience who is looking to take ownership of core documentation and governance processes within a regulated, fast-paced environment.
This role sits at the centre of regulatory documentation and governance. You will support critical compliance and transaction workflows, partnering closely with legal, finance, business and compliance teams. The position offers hands-on exposure to complex regulatory challenges, using technology to drive efficiency and reduce operational risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the end-to-end management of transaction and governance documentation, from initial review and stakeholder approvals through to execution and archiving.
- Act as a liaison between legal, finance, business and compliance teams to ensure timely, accurate processing of documentation, including KYC and beneficial ownership materials.
- Ensure all documentation processes align with internal controls, corporate governance standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain and oversee document repositories, trackers and records, ensuring data accuracy and providing timely updates to stakeholders.
- Identify and implement improvements to document workflows, approval processes and record-keeping practices.
- Proactively identify and escalate delays, discrepancies or compliance risks - working with stakeholders to drive resolution.
- Manage multiple documentation requests and competing priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Build a strong working knowledge of proprietary products and client business lines through hands-on involvement in complex engagements.
Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies or a related field (or paralegal certification).
- 3 - 5 years’ experience in a paralegal, legal operations or documentation-focused role.
- Solid understanding of legal document workflows, with exposure to KYC, entity management or regulatory documentation preferred.
- Strong research, writing and communication skills, with confidence working across multiple stakeholder groups.
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a deadline-driven environment.
- Professional discretion and sound judgement when handling confidential and sensitive information.
- Collaborative working style, comfortable partnering with both senior stakeholders and peers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with document management systems.
- Basic understanding of financial services, capital markets or investment management operations.
Benefits
Paying up to $52,000 per annum / $26.00 per hour (W2).
12-month contract.
