Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated Jr. Full Stack Developer to join our team supporting a high-visibility government contract. This role is ideal for an early-career developer who is eager to expand their technical skills, contribute to modern application development, and work within a collaborative, mission-driven environment. You will build and enhance scalable web applications, support API integrations, and participate in Agile delivery processes while learning from senior engineers and architects.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, test, and maintain front-end and back-end components of web applications under the guidance of senior team members.
Support the implementation of user interfaces using modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
Assist in building server-side logic, APIs, and database integrations using languages such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, C#, or Node.js.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, QA testers, product owners, and business analysts.
Troubleshoot and debug application issues, contributing to continuous improvement and performance enhancements.
Work within government security, compliance, and technical standards.
Support deployment activities and environments, including CI/CD tools and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent practical experience.
1–3 years of experience (including internships or academic projects) in full stack development.
Proficiency with at least one front-end framework (React, Angular, or Vue) and one back-end environment (Node.js, Express, Django, or Flask).
Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, and database technologies (SQL and/or NoSQL).
Understanding of Git-based version control and Agile development practices.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required.
Must reside in the Continental US.
Depending on the government agency, specific requirements may include a public trust background check.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting state federal government IT programs specifically within CMS or health industry.
Experience building RESTful APIs.
Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
Understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Previous experience working on government or regulated industry projects is a plus.
Exposure to sandbox or pilot testing environments within Agile or DevSecOps pipelines.
