What You’ll Do

Lead & Develop an Amazing Team

  • Mentor and inspire a team of accounting professionals, creating a collaborative and high-accountability environment.
  • Set clear goals, provide coaching and feedback, and support the team’s ongoing development.
  • Ensure your team stays current with accounting best practices, tools, and emerging technologies.

Drive Accounting Excellence

  • Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations, including AP/AR, payroll, general ledger, and monthly close.
  • Deliver accurate and timely financial statements (monthly, quarterly, annual).
  • Continuously streamline, optimize, and improve accounting processes and workflows.
  • Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and key financial reports.

Ensure Compliance & Strong Controls

  • Uphold GAAP, company policies, and regulatory standards with precision.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls to protect company assets and data integrity.
  • Lead internal and external audits with confidence and organization.

Provide Insights That Drive Results

  • Analyze financial data to uncover trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner with leadership across the business to support forecasting, budgeting, and strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment on financial objectives and project costs.

Champion Systems & Tools

  • Oversee the performance and optimization of accounting systems.
  • Identify and implement new tools or enhancements that increase accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements

What You Bring

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA or CMA preferred.

Experience

  • 5+ years of accounting experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (Great Plains) and Microsoft Power BI required.
  • Experience with RAMP and Solver preferred.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
