Position Overview
As a tax associate on our personal financial services/high-net-worth team, you will work as part of a team and utilize resources to add value to clients and assist with all stages of the preparation process for tax compliance engagements.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the preparation of individual tax returns for high-net-worth clientele and utilize feedback to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Prepare income tax projections and estimate calculations for clients
- Conduct research, analysis, development and summarization of financial information
- Analyze accounting records, financial statements or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to reporting and procedural standards
- Maintain and organize client files in accordance with firm standards
- Develop effective working relationships with clients and firm associates
- Engages in professional communication with clients under supervision of Managers and Seniors
- Communicate with the IRS and other state authorities in a professional manner when applicable
- Supports Interns in professional development
- Maintain open communication with management regarding the progress of completion on projects
- Use critical thinking to investigate client financials and fix any discrepancies
- Participate actively in training and developmental opportunities
Qualifications And Requirements
- Bachelor's in accounting; Master’s preferred (150 hour requirement threshold should be satisfied or a specific plan in place)
- One busy season of tax experience, preferably with exposure to high-net-worth individual returns
- Actively studying and preparing for the CPA certification if not already obtained
- Strong commitment to professional and client service excellence
- Proven time management, organizational and prioritization skills

The base salary range for this position in Denver, CO only is between $65,000 to $80,000. Bennett Thrasher is accepting applications on an ongoing basis.
