Overview

Your role

  • Lead the delivery of commissioning and related services for new building construction projects of varying types, sizes, and complexities.
  • Support the commissioning team in generation of technical documents including commissioning plan, specifications to suite project requirement.
  • Direct and document commissioning and related testing activities.
  • Organize project commissioning meetings and provide technical guidance to the project stakeholders.
  • Conducting test studies on equipment and processes to assess compliance with requirements.
  • Analysis of test data and collection of samples, where required.
  • Evaluate the installation and functional performance of building systems to optimize efficiency.
  • Provide technical expertise to troubleshoot building systems during commissioning phases.
  • Provide recommendations on equipment/process for operational readiness.
  • Collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary project teams.
  • Contribute to refining internal processes and documentation.
  • Prepare proposals, quotations, and secure new projects.
  • Provide general support to the Commissiong, Compliance, Testing & Verification team to meet department goals and objectives.
  • Adhere to rules and procedures that ensure health, safety & environment as well as prevention of workplace incidents. Furthermore, in a context of continuous improvement, be proactive in improving health, safety & environment rules and procedures to prevent potential hazards related to your work.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or a related Science program.
  • Minimum of 8 years relevant work experience in commissioning.
  • Possession of a recognized commissioning certification such as Certified Building Commissioning Professional (CBCP), Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP), or an equivalent credential demonstrating expertise in commissioning processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong attention to detail regarding documentation.
  • Knowledge and experience with automated/computerized systems is an asset.
  • Proficient in English (oral/written), French knowledge (an asset).
  • Well organized, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Flexible with the proven ability to prioritize and work to deadlines.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite.
  • Must be mobile within the Greater Toronto Area.
