We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced GCP Cloud Architect to design, implement, and manage Google Cloud Platform (GCP)-based cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the architecture, optimization, and planning of infrastructure for cloud projects, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, efficient, and cost-effective.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud solutions on GCP, including infrastructure, services, and application architectures.
- Develop high availability, fault-tolerant, and scalable architectures on GCP.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to implement architectures integrating GCP services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Cloud Functions, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), BigQuery, Cloud Deployment Manager, and more.
- Evaluate the current infrastructure and provide recommendations for cost, performance, and security optimization and continuous improvement.
- Implement security strategies on the cloud, following GCP best practices, including Identity and Access Management (IAM), Key Management Service (KMS), and access controls.
- Manage infrastructure automation using tools such as Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager, or similar.
- Provide technical guidance and leadership in the adoption of GCP across the organization.
- Participate in planning, designing, and migrating existing systems to the public cloud.
- Ensure proposed solutions meet enterprise architecture standards, regulations, and security requirements.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand their business needs and design technical solutions that support those needs.
Must-have requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Systems, or related fields.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with GCP and cloud architectures.
- Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect certification or similar.
- Experience with GCP services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC, Cloud SQL, Cloud Functions, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), BigQuery, Cloud Deployment Manager, IAM, Cloud Monitoring, and others.
- In-depth knowledge of designing scalable, fault-tolerant, and secure architectures.
- Strong knowledge of containers (Docker, Kubernetes, GKE) and automation technologies.
- Experience implementing cloud security and compliance policies.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Cloud Build, Jenkins, Git, GitLab CI/CD.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager).
Nice to have:
- Strong communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Ability to work independently and in teams, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Knowledge of hybrid and multi-cloud platforms.
- Experience migrating on-premises systems to the GCP cloud.
- Skills in cost management and optimizing GCP infrastructure.
- Additional certifications in GCP or complementary technologies.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
