Position Title: Accounting Supervisor

Location: Orlando, FL (On-Site)

Pay Rate: $25.55/hour

Role Overview:

The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions related to toll revenue collection and reconciliation

Role-Based Accountabilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of accounting staff responsible for toll revenue processing, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closing procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Monitor internal controls related to toll collection and revenue management, recommending and implementing improvements as needed.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of toll revenue to management and regulatory bodies.
  • Support audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries regarding revenue transactions and processes.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate accounting team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies, strengthen cross-functional processes, and drive operational efficiency.

Expected Deliverables:

  • Ensure the accurate and timely completion of all revenue accounting processes, including the preparation and review of journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for revenue transactions, support audits, and resolve discrepancies through effective cross-department collaboration.

Qualifications:

Work Experience

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in revenue accounting or a related financial field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and revenue recognition processes.
  • Experience supporting internal and external audits, with strong documentation and analytical skills.
  • Proven track record of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.
  • Prior experience in leading or mentoring accounting teams is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of key organizational objectives such as EBITDA, revenue growth, and fostering a high-performance culture.

Education and Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline preferred, but not required
  • Advanced degrees or professional certifications such as Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) considered an asset.
  • Ongoing education in revenue recognition standards and relevant financial regulations encouraged.

Physical Requirements:
