Facilities Assistant: Part-Time (20-25 hours per week) 

DEPARTMENT: Facilities 

LOCATION: 288 Main Street Catskill, NY 12414   

REPORTS TO: Facilities and Security Officer 

SUPERVISES: None  

FLSA: Non-Exempt 

PAY RANGE: $20 - $22 per hour commensurate with education and experience 

POSITION SUMMARY: 

This role is responsible for performing basic building maintenance tasks, minor office furniture repairs, vendor coordination, and helping to ensure the safety and security of physical premises. The Facilities Assistant will perform wide range of general maintenance duties at all Bank locations in the Capital District and Hudson Valley. 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent  
  • Prior experience or general knowledge of facilities maintenance with an ability to learn 
  • Valid driver license; reliable transportation; and cell phone access 
  • Demonstrated ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds 
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications 
  • Must have good interpersonal skills 

Requirements

 

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including minor repairs (e.g., replacing light bulbs, unclogging drains, replacing air filter, minor painting) and basic cleaning tasks when needed. 
  • Conduct regular inspections of the facilities to identify and report maintenance issues. 
  • Assemble and install office furniture and conduct minor furniture repairs as needed 
  • Monitor building systems (lighting, HVAC, plumbing) and report malfunctions to the Facilities Officer. 
  • Ensure exterior areas (parking lots, walkways, entrances) are clean and safe. 
  • Assist with receiving and storing deliveries of supplies or equipment. 
  • Travel to Bank locations within the Capital District and Hudson Valley market is required. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.   
  • Assist with maintenance of alarms, camera’s, and related security equipment. 
  • Respond to law and fire notifications, as needed.  
  • Assist with management of security related projects and administrative duties 
  • Interact with facilities vendors; scheduling; quality control oversight; and review of invoices. 
  • Coordinates delivery of supplies to branches, and other facilities, as needed.  Fulfill monthly supply orders. 
  • Assist with coordination of outside vendor deliveries and distribution.   
  • Assists with coordinating physical security, maintenance, and utility service for Real Estate Owned by Bank. 
  • Complete training as assigned by Department Head. 
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by management and department heads.

Each employee will immediately report suspicious currency transactions or activity to their immediate supervisor or the BSA Officer. 

All employees will become familiar with how their customers handle their accounts and will report any transactions that are not within the normal activities of the customer. 

The employee will be trained in compliance with the BSA, USA PATRIOT ACT and associated laws and regulations under the Bank’s Compliance Program as it pertains to his or her job functions. Employees are expected to meet all compliance requirements as stated within the Bank’s BSA/AML/CIP/OFAC Program. Failure to meet these compliance standards may adversely affect performance appraisals and may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination. Employee’s compliance violations may result in termination, individual fines, and possible imprisonment.
