Position Summary:
The Sales Support Representative will be an integral part of the ADM Refined Oils team and will have a core focus on providing support for all of the customer facing business functions. You will assist the Refined Oils Sales Team in meeting sales goals and providing ADM’s customers with the highest level of service.
What You’ll Do:
Provide outstanding support to our account manager team and manage transactional refined oils accounts. A heavy emphasis will be placed on fostering relationships and supporting your sales colleagues. Other significant duties include as follows:
- Manage a book of transactional sales accounts from quoting to contract write up
- Responsible for sales forecasting, contract processes, contract maintenance and execution for your customers
- Develop an understanding of basic market information for each oil
- Write internal ADM IDT contracts for multiple locations
- Daily reconciliation of futures position
- Assist with contract write ups for Directors and other sales colleagues as needed
- Learn how to prospect and vet leads to keep or hand off to another account manager
- Other duties as they evolve
- High degree of problem solving, relationship building and organizational skills
- Knowledge and understanding of the refined oils business from your current role
- Ability to learn and understand new software or other applications necessary to perform essential responsibilities authoritatively
- High attention to detail, well-organized and effective time management skills are imperative
- Ability to be accurate and timely in a dynamic work environment
- Ability to work as a team and develop and implement new processes and procedures
- Strong communication internally and externally is vital to the success of this role
- Interact in a consistently professional and positive manner with various internal and external personnel
- Proficient in internal and external software systems
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required. Only internal refined oils candidates are being considered at this time.
- Work in accordance with local/state legislation
- Understands and is accountable for full compliance with safety and other EHS requirements
- Very limited travel within the US is possible—1-2 times/year
