Accountability

As SVP & General Manager of Rheumsquared®, you will be accountable for establishing Rheumatology as a high-performing and sustainable vertical within HCEsquared®. This includes building and maintaining a network of key opinion leaders, clinical experts, and rising voices, ensuring that HCEsquared® becomes the partner of choice in the field. You will define and execute a comprehensive HCP engagement portfolio across conferences, webcasts, podcasts, expert roundtables, publications, and market research, creating meaningful impact for clinicians and the broader Rheumatology community. You will be responsible for assembling the team, allocating resources, and implementing processes required for growth, while taking full P&L ownership for the Rheumatology business. Additionally, you will integrate Rheumatology operations across Sales, Marketing, Finance, HR, and Event teams, ensuring alignment with the broader platform and driving innovation and competitive differentiation through new formats, offerings, and partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Build the Rheumatology Network: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders, clinicians, and rising voices in the field.
  • Design Engagement Strategy: Create impactful HCP education and engagement experiences across conferences, webcasts, podcasts, publications, research, and expert roundtables.
  • Grow the Business: Define and execute the Rheumatology strategy with full P&L responsibility, driving sustainable growth and competitive advantage. Learn the needs of supporters to make meaningful connections with HCPs.
  • Lead the Team: Recruit, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team, fostering a culture of vision, problem solving, accountability, and grit.
  • Integrate Cross-Functionally: Collaborate with sales, marketing, finance, HR, and operations to embed Rheumatology within HCEsquared’s broader platform.
  • Innovate & Differentiate: Introduce new formats, partnerships, and offerings that position Rheumsquared® as a flagship vertical for HCEsquared® and a premier brand in the   Rheumatology space.

Qualifications

You will thrive in this role if you bring:

  • 10+ years of experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, HCP education, medical publishing, or related industries; Rheumatology or specialty focus highly preferred.
  • Proven ability to build or scale a business vertical with full P&L ownership.
  • Strong network-building skills with KOLs and HCPs; experience developing impactful education and engagement programs.
  • Track record of leading teams, recruiting talent, and building high-performing cultures.
  • Demonstrated success working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, finance, and operations.
  • Strategic thinker with entrepreneurial drive; able to both set vision and execute.
  • Solid financial acumen in forecasting, budgeting, and margin management.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Willingness to travel for conferences, KOL meetings, and roundtables.
  • Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, or equivalent) a plus but not required.
