| Position Summary | The UNM Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences is seeking a Program Assistant 2 to support our Education Division. The Education Division of the Department administers the training programs of Psychiatry Residents, Psychiatry Fellowships, Psychology Interns, Medical Students, and Psychology Post-Docs. It is a very busy, dynamic atmosphere with a collaborative, hard-working and friendly team. The Medical Education Program Assistant 2 supports all aspects of the Psychiatry and Psychology Training Programs. The assistant will provide administrative support for the Medical Education Program Coordinator and Specialist, Program Director, and Vice Chair of Education and serve as first point of contact for psychiatry residents and faculty of the Education Division. Assistant will assist in planning, coordinating and implementing resident recruitment, orientation, graduation and other events. Job responsibilities include: organizing, coordinating, and managing regular Education events; recording and maintaining data of attendance for lectures and events; tracking, managing and entering resident and faculty evaluations; and creating, maintaining and editing didactic schedules. Position will compose, transcribe, edit and distribute correspondence, agendas and minutes for meetings; collect data and run reports; maintain files and distribute course materials; answer phones and respond to inquiries for the Education Division and provide support and back-up for other area functions. Will also record and report resident leave; manage education funds; coordinate travel and process reimbursements. Will hold and be responsible for a UNM purchasing card. The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and customer service skills, be a superb organizer and have exceptionally strong scheduling and computer/software skills. | Minimum Qualifications | High school diploma or GED; at least 4 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. |
