PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Coordinate multiple hotel services for the meeting groups. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures.


Position: Hourly, Full-Time
Location: Gold Strike Casino

 

Responsibilities

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Initiates correspondence with introduction letter, agenda, and other pertinent information.
  • Coordinates and services all logistics of assigned groups from initial booking through meeting requirements and departure.
  • Monitors room blocks with contracted agencies and ensures room blocks are reserved for groups.
  • Conducts pre-convention meeting with meeting planner and all hotel operating departments representatives which are involved in the program.
  • Disseminates group resumes which includes profiles, agendas, and requirements to all Hotel operating departments in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Coordinates and conducts resume meetings.
  • Maintains close contact with client on regular basis both verbally and with written confirmation of changes and updates.
  • Assists with billing discrepancies with the intent of resolving to the satisfaction of all parties.
  • Assists in dealing with any customer service issues.
  • Perform all other job-related duties as requested.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent education and experience in related field.

  • A minimum of three (3) years of related customer service experience in a similar position.

     

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, and other relevant hotel and convention services software.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and quality.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks associated with projects and events.

  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, in both oral and written forms.

     

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Work is generally performed in an office environment.
