Grip & Lighting Manager - Quixote Studios Grip & Lighting
Quixote Studios is one of the nation’s premier film and television studios and is looking for a full-time Grip & Lighting Manager to join our team! The Grip & Lighting Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Grip & Lighting facility and managing all warehouse employees. They need to enforce protocols for safely and efficiently loading, unloading, delivering, and picking up equipment to and from our facilities and other outside customers. They must clearly communicate with their teams and delegate work as they see fit down to the assistant warehouse managers, leads, floor staff and drivers. They are also tasked with the management of equipment cleaning, testing, and maintaining the inventory and delegation of these tasks to the floor staff. The manager must work closely with the rental bookings team to make sure all jobs go out accurately, on time and help with delegating all scheduling of deliveries.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee daily warehouse operations and manage warehouse staff to ensure their daily responsibilities are completed safely and effectively while meeting our client’s expectations.
- Manage and delegate tasks to the warehouse staff to ensure quality control of all assets, deliveries, and returns.
- Track and reconcile fuel and credit card purchase receipts.
- Provide outstanding front-line service to all clients.
- Develop and implement efficient warehouse processes and procedures to improve productivity and accuracy.
- Review loss and damage billing with rental agents before final billing.
- Work with the service department to ensure vehicles are inspected, serviced, and meet Quixote standards.
- Stay current on modern technologies, including firmware and equipment updates.
- Resolve any safety, operational or employee performance concerns, employee relations issues, or client emergencies.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper upkeep of equipment, warehouse, and assets.
- Coordinate equipment repairs with asset management.
- Maintain knowledge of all warehouse equipment, including trucking.
- Lead, train, and develop warehouse supervisors.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, OSHA regulations, and company policies.
- Support management with data analysis for operational planning and budgeting.
- Collaborate with supervisors to manage employee timekeeping, payroll approvals, and manage schedule to increase efficiency and limit overtime.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need:
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- 3-5 years of warehouse management or supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and equipment management.
- Attention to detail; highly organized and thorough.
- Ability to work independently, safely, and efficiently while prioritizing workflow.
- Strong team player with proven collaboration skills.
- Experience operating material-handling equipment.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Comfortable using Outlook, Rental Works (preferred), and basic computer programs.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant experience strongly preferred.
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Working Conditions:
Activities include regularly working in outside weather conditions, exposure to extremes of temperature, visibility, wet and/or humid conditions and vibrations. Noise level in work environment is usually loud. Dust, mechanical hazards, moving objects, operating vehicles, and shift work.

Compensation:
Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role is $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 annually.
In addition, our total benefits package includes paid time off, sick pay, 401k, Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance.
