Description
Responsibilities include:
- assisting associates with analyzing, reviewing, and determining liability for claims filed
- conducting investigations for claim liability for financial recovery
- ensuring compliance to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and other internal controls
- ensuring receipt of goods for for-hire carriers have been completed timely and any opportunities resolved by end of business week in TMS
- minimizing operational costs
- assist manager in resolving exceptions through meetings, calls and/or email with appropriate internal or external parties
- plan, lead and participate in meetings and discussions while serving as the representative for the department

Other Compensation Information
- Night differential: A $.75 per hour night differential is paid to associates regularly scheduled to work any hours between midnight and 3:00 a.m. (this does not include shifts that end at midnight or begin at 3:00AM).
- Weekend premium pay: $2 per hour weekend premium pay is available
Year End Bonus
In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check.
In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.

Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or its equivalent
- have 3 years of experience in a Distribution or equivalent environment (i.e., maintenance, transportation, accounting, and/or warehousing)
- successfully compete a battery of assessments administered by Selection & Performance Measurement
- have a willingness to work a variable work schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends
- have knowledge of the transportation industry
- willingness to adjust and be acceptant to change
- have the ability to self-direct work activities
- have strong problem solving and decision-making skills
- have the ability to handle and manage stress effectively
- have the ability to interpret, analyze and explain financial information
- have strong business ethics
- must be detail oriented
- have strong oral communication skills
- willingness to lead and participate on various teams
- have knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business-related field
- currently employed as a Publix Distribution or Supply Chain associate
- have knowledge of OS&D and liability claims processes, DOT, FMSCA and food safety regulations
- have knowledge of general accounting principles
- have knowledge of Publix corporate and departmental policies
