We are looking for a highly energized and passionate team player who accountable for the sales results and development of new and existing business within our research accounts in Belgium and Luxembourg. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager for Belgium & Luxembourg, this position involves building and maintaining key relationships, with the ability to apply understandine of customer organizations, needs and networks to integrate our innovative product workflows into their research applications. You will respond to customer needs whist making use of all available technologies and channels to support the sales process.

Job Description:

The overall purpose of the function is to consult and sell the research product portfolio to existing accounts as well as identifying and acquiring new clients. Growing the research business and to meet the sales budget for the research portfolio within the assigned territory is a responsibility. The main tasks and core activities of the employee include:

  • Accountable to grow the research business and to meet the sales budget for the research portfolio within the assigned territory. Sell solutions and the full workflow for the research portfolio to existing and new clients in the areas of cellular research, immunology, cancer research, neuroscience, stem cell research and others. Maintain proactively relationships with existing KOL’s, whilst continually building new KOL relationships.
  • Connect and work in close cooperation with other sales and sales support functions such as such as Account Managers Clinical Business, Account Managers BioPharma Business and Application Specialists for Flow, Imaging & Clinical Solutions.
  • Develop and implement an effective territory business plan in line with the company's strategic goals. Provide an accurate revenue forecast for the research portfolio within the assigned territory.
  • Organize and conduct technical seminars within client accounts and represent Miltenyi at national and international congresses and fairs. Participate regularly in training to improve knowledge on research products and applications. Monitor proactively competitor activities and new product launches, look for new trends and potential new opportunities.
  • Plan and execute effective customer visits and record all activities and opportunities within the company’s CRM
Qualifications:
  • We are looking for an ideal candidate with a Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences (Master's or PhD in (stem) cell biology, immunology, cancer biology or neuroscience preferred) and at least 3 years of successful sales experience in the same field.
  • You have experience in managing complex sales cycles. Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills at senior levels are required. Advanced listening & negotiation skills, driven to achieve sales results and goals.
  • Moreover, building positive working relationships at all levels is also a key requirement, that we believe will help us achieve our shared goals. You have a high level of positive energy with strong interpersonal skills and an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • In addition, you have excellent time and territory management skills and the ability to make pragmatic decisions quickly, a strong work ethic, customer focus, and commercial acumen.
  • The ideal candidate should have expertise in using Microsoft Office and is willing to travel extensively within Belgium and Luxembourg. The position is based in the assigned territory in the french-speaking part of Belgium.
  • Fluency in English is a must, and knowledge of French is an advantage.
