Job Description Summary
Organization's Summary Statement: The Associate Director of Facilities, Operations & Events will provide management support and leadership in the Athletics Facilities, Operations & Events office for the effective management of all athletic facilities, event operations, scheduling, staffing, and daily operations. The Associate Director will report to the Assistant Athletics Director of Facilities, Operations, & Events and will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and management of all competitions, events, or functions held in ICA indoor facilities, including the Xfinity Center.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing maintenance and renovation projects in ICA facilities; managing game day operations for selected athletic events; coordinating the scheduling of ICA facilities for internal and external events, including rental agreements, support services, equipment and overall event management; sport liaison duties for selected varsity teams; oversight and management of facility scheduling; administration of the department's scheduling software system; day-to-day management of events in Tyser Tower, including contract development and execution; logistics support for game day operations; and other related duties as assigned.
Physical Demands: While performing the essential functions of the job, the employee operates a computer and other office equipment, including telephones and copy machines. Constantly moves about the facility and event site before, during, and after events to service clients and support overall event management; continually communicates via telephone, email, and in person with others to exchange accurate information. Standing, walking, kneeling/crouching, balancing, and lifting up to 30 pounds. The scope of the position frequently requires weekend and evening work (non-standard work hours).

Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Two (2) years of experience in a professional setting.
Other: Additional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year for year basis for up to four (4) years of the required education.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of intercollegiate athletics administrative structure and responsibilities.
Knowledge of athletics policies and procedures and federal, state, and other applicable, related laws, rules, regulations, and ordinances.
Skill in oral and written communication.
Skill in the use of Microsoft Office and Google Suite products.
Ability to multitask and prioritize within unit and department environment as well manage large-scale athletics-related projects.
Additional Job Details
Preferences: Candidates with event management skills and those with provable experience working in the athletic industry.
