🔶 Manufacturing Automation Engineer

Job Title: Manufacturing Automation Engineer 
Location: Durham, NC

Summary

Join Millennium Print Group, a subsidiary of The Pokémon Company International, as a Manufacturing Automation Engineer IC2!
We’re looking for an automation professional to lead the design, programming, and deployment of industrial automation systems including robotics, PLCs, motion control, and vision systems. This role is central to MPG’s Industry 4.0 transformation, driving operational excellence and smart manufacturing innovation.


🔹 What You Will Do

• Lead full lifecycle automation projects—planning, programming, testing, and deployment.
• Design and implement control systems for production and packaging operations.
• Collaborate with engineering, IT, maintenance, and operations to deliver automation solutions.
• Manage vendors, contractors, and integrators for quality project execution.
• Conduct system testing (FAT/SAT) and ensure all compliance requirements are met.
• Identify automation opportunities to improve OEE, reduce waste, and optimize throughput.
• Develop documentation, training materials, and maintenance plans.
• Support MES/ERP integration and continuous improvement initiatives.


🔹 What You Will Bring

Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, Automation, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing automation, robotics, or controls engineering.
• Proven ability to deliver automation projects from concept to implementation.

Skills & Abilities:
• Experience with Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and motion systems.
• Knowledge of Industry 4.0, SCADA systems, MES/WMS, and factory integration.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project and technical documentation.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• PMP certification preferred, AI automation exposure a plus.
