Maintenance Assistant *Part-time
Primary Responsibilities
The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for providing preventative maintenance and repairs to facility equipment, furnishings and property.
Responsibilities:Maintenance Assistant Essential Functions
- Maintenance Assistant will help with the implementation of a facility wide maintenance program that ensures the safety and well-being of residents, staff and visitors
- Following established maintenance tasks according to policy and procedures and facility quality assurance standards
- Maintaining all daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semiannual and seasonal preventative maintenance schedules for equipment and property
- Performing unscheduled maintenance tasks as directed
- Maintenance Assistant will coordinate with other departments work schedules to avoid interference and unnecessary interruptions
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor

Qualifications:Maintenance Assistant Qualifications
- Have a thorough understanding of the best maintenance practices
- The ability to read, write, speak and understand the English Language
- The possession of an active State of Indiana driver’s license
- Patience, a cheerful disposition, enthusiasm and a willingness to handle residents based on whatever maturity and physical level in which they are currently functioning
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred, but not required
- Have a Technical Schooling in electrical, plumbing, HVAC or mechanical is preferred but not required
