Flat River Group is seeking an experienced and dedicated Inventory Control Supervisor to play a pivotal role in optimizing our distribution center's efficiency and ensuring accurate inventory management. As a key member of our operational excellence team, you will be responsible for leading and supervising teams engaged in inventory control and inventory management functions. Responsibilities and Duties:

Operational Leadership: Lead and supervise teams dedicated to inventory management to ensure the inventory in the distribution center is verified regularly.

Inventory Management: Collaborate closely with the operations teams to optimize stock levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and maintain accurate inventory records.

Perform inventory adjustments based on comp reports, physical inventory, damages and more.

Manage prioritization of employee tasks including cycle counts, overpull, location consolidations and more.

Maintain inventory location counts including Limbo and Receiving location management.

Warehouse Safety and Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and compliance with quality control guidelines and company policies to ensure a secure and compliant working environment.

Process Optimization: Work with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement, implementing solutions to increase efficiency and reduce operational costs.

Team Development: Train, mentor, and support team members to enhance their skills and performance, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect and report any issues with warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and scanners, ensuring they are well-maintained and safe to operate.

Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with other department supervisors, support interdepartmental initiatives, and contribute to cross-functional projects aimed at optimizing warehouse operations.

Communication and Reporting: Effectively communicate with internal teams, providing regular updates on warehouse performance and promptly addressing any issues or concerns. Perform daily comp reports and bin management including bin creations, and on-hold monitoring.

Cross-Functional Exposure: Gain an understanding of the functions of other departments, collaborating with them to streamline workflows and promote a cohesive working environment.

One Team: Lead by example, fostering a team-oriented mindset where colleagues support each other and assist with related duties outside of their primary department when necessary.

Qualifications
Required Skills and Abilities:

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance repeatedly.

Must be able to lift 50-75 pounds without assistance occasionally.

Must be able to stand and/or walk for 8-10 hours for 5-6 days/week.

Ability to regularly bend, twist, stoop, and reach.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
-
Previous experience in a fast-paced, high-volume organization in a team lead or supervisory role required (2+ years).

Previous forklift operator experience preferred.
