Pennsylvania Leadership Charter School is a state-wide, public (tuition-free) K-12 online charter school with a substantial number of students. Our teachers are part of an educational team whose innovative approach to education is providing a dynamic learning experience for students across the state of Pennsylvania through cyber education. Summary:
The Accounts Payable Specialist provides bookkeeping and administrative accounting support to the PALCS Business Office, including collaboration with auditors and the school’s third party accounting firm.
This position will report to our 1332 Enterprise Drive, West Chester, PA location.
Essential Duties:
- Review and process invoices with proper documentation and approval prior to payment.
- Keeps vendor information up to date.
- Monitor accounts payable email and liaise with vendors.
- Obtains signatures on checks when needed.
- Generates purchase orders when necessary.
- Process IRS W-9 forms.
- Data entry in Quickbooks for online payments to the school.

- Assist in annual audit.
- Perform other Business Office duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Associate's degree in Business and/or Accounting or equivalent job experience
- 1+ years bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Experience with general bookkeeping procedures
- Exceptional degree of accuracy with financial numbers and data entry
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficient in the use of Google Docs, Sheets, and forms
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong customer service and public relations skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to problem solve and work independently
Physical/Mental/Environmental Demands:
- Physical: Normal vision, speech, hearing, walking, sitting, standing, lifting, stooping, bending, grasping, keyboarding, and filing ability
- Mental: Positive Attitude, analyzing, problem solving, decision making, and writing.
- Environmental: Online, office, blended school environment
- Travel - As required, but minimal

All PA Leadership Charter School applicants and employees will need to provide Pennsylvania Clearances: Act 34, 114, and 151 upon employment, as well as every five years from the date the previous clearance was obtained.
