Skills and Competencies

  • Familiar with STEM related data and/or modeling techniques and tools
  • Comfortable working with large and complex data sets. Including raw data and diagnostics
  • Analytical skills – collect, analyze, and disseminate information related to machine learning models
  • Evaluation skills - position an argument, provide verifiable facts, and illicit stake holder(s) determination
  • Interest or ability to craft business narratives to guide near term business and resource decisions
  • Strong Plus:
    • Experience with artificial intelligence, machine learning, large language models
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to multiple tasks
    • Familiarity with financial data and/or software tools (SQL, Databricks, JIRA, or Confluence)

Education

  • Students studying: Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or STEM related fields
  • Graduation date of June 2027 – June 2028
  • Ability to work during program dates: June 1st - August 7th 2026

Responsibilities

  • Support the product team in various stages of the product lifecycle, from ideation and planning to development, launch, and post-launch activities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and key stakeholders, to collect and document product requirements and user stories
  • Participate in client and stakeholder meetings to understand user needs and communicate feedback to the product team
  • Assist in creating and updating product documentation, as well as identifying opportunities to improve workflows and processes
  • Perform outcome analysis on large language models, providing clear Pros, Cons, and alternative recommendations to inform product enhancements

Moody's 10-week summer internship program is a premier opportunity for students to immerse themselves in a hands-on learning experience, guided by Moody's commitment to integrity, excellence, and insight. The program takes place each summer from June – August and positions are available for undergraduate and select graduate students. Internships are full-time, offering a comprehensive view of Moody's business and culture, and a chance to build professional and technical skills. Programmatic elements include networking, mentorship, leadership speaker series and volunteering events. Interns complete project work determined by their team that have real impact, fostering a sense of accomplishment and professional growth. Throughout the internship, participants receive mentorship from Moody's professionals, gaining insights into diverse career paths and cultivate a comprehensive understanding of the company. Networking events and workshops further enrich the experience, providing a platform for professional development and collaboration. As a Moody's intern, you will gain real-world experience, turn inputs into actions, and be integral part of the team.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $35, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for a completion bonus. Moody’s also offers insurance and a discounted employee stock purchase plan for limited duration employees.
