Who You Are:
We are seeking a candidate with a strong positive attitude toward customer service to act as a Housekeeping Supervisor. This person will have a genuine interest in working with older adults and be able to engage, motivate, and support both residents and fellow team members. Essential Functions:
1. Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping and laundry.
2. Responsible for hiring, training, and coaching housekeeping and laundry staff.
3. Must perform “hands on” cleaning as needed
4. Must possess the ability to communicate in English to allow for the proper completion of work orders, budgets, daily and monthly reports.
5. Performs routine inspections of all areas of the community, including resident apartments, offices, dining rooms, etc.
6. Regularly exhibits strong commitment to customer services with residents, staff, vendors and guests.
7. Works effectively and efficiently with others.
8. Conduct or coordinate training of staff as directed by supervisor.
9. Maintain all tools, related equipment and supplies in clean operating condition at all times.
10. Assist in the choice and purchase of housekeeping supplies and related equipment.
11. Required to keep accurate work records and inventories of hardware and software. All work to be done in a professional manner. High quality work practices, neatness, follow-up and clean-up are necessities.
12. Strict confidentiality is necessary due to the sensitivity of records and conversions. Also includes security on all networks.
13. Is clean and concise in communication skills.
14. Accepts constructive criticism.
15. Maintain work area and keep the department in compliance with OSHA safety standards.
16. Effectively communicates both verbally and in writing.
17. Demonstrates the community hospitality promises towards residents, families, associates and vendors.
18. Assist in monthly inventory
Qualifications
- Must be able to read, write and follow written and verbal directions.
- High School education or GED preferred, but not required.
