Afterschool Tutoring Program Administrator
Position Overview:
The Afterschool Tutoring Program Administrator will oversee the planning, coordination, and implementation of the district’s afterschool tutoring initiatives in alignment with Title I goals and district improvement plans. This role ensures high-quality academic support for students in English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. The Administrator will collaborate with principals, tutors, families, and community partners to promote student achievement, program compliance, and continuous improvement.

Director of Federal Programs and/or Building Principal
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of the afterschool tutoring program, including staffing, scheduling, and supervision of tutors.
Ensure program alignment with Title I and district academic priorities.
Utilize student data to identify participants, monitor progress, and evaluate program effectiveness.
Coordinate communication between teachers, tutors, parents, and administrators to ensure consistent instructional support.
Provide leadership and professional development for tutors on effective instructional practices, data analysis, and student engagement.
Monitor attendance, assessment results, and documentation to ensure compliance with federal, state, and district reporting requirements.
Prepare reports on program outcomes, expenditures, and student achievement for district and state audits.
Support continuous improvement efforts by collecting feedback from staff, students, and families.
Manage program budget, materials, and resources to ensure equitable access and efficient operations.
Ensure all safety and supervision protocols are consistently followed during afterschool hours.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Federal Programs or Building Principal.
Experience:
Minimum three (3) years of experience in education, including instructional or program coordination roles.
Prior experience with Title I or federally funded educational programs preferred.
Demonstrated ability to lead staff, manage projects, and analyze student achievement data.
Qualification Profile:
Current Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) required; administrative endorsement preferred.
Strong understanding of curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices in ELA and Math.
Knowledge of Title I regulations and afterschool program compliance standards.

Strong organizational, supervisory, and communication skills.
Ability to interpret and apply state and federal education guidelines.
Proficiency with data management systems, educational software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
