About the Job: We are looking for an energetic “people person” for our hospital to communicate financial updates to clients. Our ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to discuss financial obligations with clients, act as a client-pet advocate and update various doctors and technicians regarding client’s financial situation and the client’s goals for the pet’s treatment.
Primary duties will include
- Joining the health care team as the client's advocate for hospitalized patients.
- Entering all services into the hospital information system (client invoice).
- Preparing updated financial treatment plans and reviewing the financial portion of the doctor's recommendations with clients.
- Calculating and collecting additional deposits as necessary
- Assist Client Care Specialists with processing payment balances due on check out
- Involvement in the Accounts Receivable process.
About you
- Experience working in a veterinary hospital and a working knowledge of medical terminology is ideal
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written; organizational skills; proactive thinking and a positive attitude are also a must
- Comfortable talking to clients about finances and medical plans, including euthanasia
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and commitment to develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community is required.
- Positive outlook and ability to work well in a collaborative environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills are required, and the ability to deliver exceptional client service is expected
- Honesty, integrity and a desire to learn and have fun!
Schedule: Main schedule will consist of normal business hours Monday through Friday, with some weekends required
Salary: $19.75 - $29.75.00 / hour
