Position Summary:
The Director for the Day Resource Center (DRC) assumes responsibility for overseeing aspects of DRC operations; including lunch services, lead case manager, service coordinator, partnerships, and volunteers. This position plays a pivotal role in fostering welcoming environments and building strong, collaborative relationships with clients, staff, volunteers, and partners, while providing essential support to the community
General Responsibilities:
As a DRC Staff member, you will assist in the vision of the DRC by embodying the values and culture of the DRC. By engaging with the community and modeling SERVE - See and Shape the Future, Engage and Develop Others, Reinvent Continually, Value Results and Relationships, and Embody the Values
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Support the Dream Center Director in relationship management with the City of Fayetteville, Shelter Coordinator, Coordinated Entry, and other non-profit engagements to support the DRC.
- Provide guidance for White Flag engagement.
- Lead the DRC team including but not limited to staff, volunteers, and community partners.
- Ensure guidelines for all basic services are being followed.
Ensure staff follows the DRC guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Track and monitor staff hours and schedules
Coordinate coverage changes, approve hours for payroll
- Provide additional mentorship and encouragement along with our case managers to clients to follow their Individualized Plans.
- Be capable of covering when staff or volunteers are absent.
- Network with other like-minded organizations. I.e., Fayetteville Operation Inasmuch, Urban Ministries, Loving Hands, Salvation Army, etc.
- Coordinate with the DRC service coordinator to order supplies and other items.
Lead the coordination of other organizaion’s use of the DRC & MOUs.
- Lead Staff Meetings.
- Mentor staff as needed.
- Rearrange furniture and equipment as needed.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Day Resource Center, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and support to clients, staff, volunteers, and partners.
- Foster welcoming and inclusive environments at the Day Resource Center, cultivating strong and mutually supportive relationships with clients, staff, volunteers, and partners.
- Provide support to the community through the facilitation of various programs, services, and initiatives aimed at addressing the needs of individuals and families experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness.
- Collaborate with the Manna Dream Center Director and other stakeholders to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives for the Day Resource Center.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulations, maintaining a safe and respectful environment for all.
- Represent the Day Resource Center in meetings, events, and collaborations with external partners and stakeholders, advocating for the needs and interests of the community.
- Provide leadership and supervision to staff and volunteers, fostering a positive and supportive work culture that promotes growth, development, and teamwork.
- Monitor and evaluate program outcomes and performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed to achieve desired results.

Requirements
Qualifications
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree preferred, ideally in social work or a related field.
- Experience as a social worker or case manager is preferred.
- Ability to work with a wide variety of clientele, with a warm and welcoming attitude.
- Ability to deliver services in a manner consistent with the agency’s values of human dignity for all and caring, compassionate guest-centered care.
- Ability to be flexible and work collaboratively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing work environment while maintaining a sense of calm for guests and partners.
- Extensive knowledge of housing and homelessness.
- Strong de-escalation and mediation skills.
- Knowledge of HUD guidelines and experience working with subsidized housing and programs such as Emergency Shelter, Section 8, Shelter Plus Care, Rapid Re-Housing, etc.
- Current knowledge of best practice models, including Housing First, Coordinated Entry and Assessment, Mental Health Recovery, Harm Reduction, and Critical Time Intervention.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to lead volunteers and interact with guests..
