Overview
SANY America is seeking an experienced Crane Technician to join our OEM service team supporting the Eastern U.S. This position is responsible for providing factory-level technical support, field service, and commissioning for SANY rough-terrain, crawler, and all-terrain cranes. The role combines hands-on repair expertise with customer-facing technical support, ensuring our equipment performs to SANY’s global standards of reliability and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical crane systems in the field or at customer sites.
- Provide on-site support for the assembly and disassembly of SANY cranes.
- Support crane commissioning, setup, and functional testing for new deliveries.
- Conduct scheduled and warranty service in accordance with SANY OEM standards and documentation.
- Calibrate and troubleshoot crane control systems including LMI, RCL, and CAN-based electronics.
- Interface with SANY’s technical team in Peachtree City, GA for escalation, parts support, and root-cause analysis.
- Provide on-site operator and technician training as required.
- Accurately complete service reports, warranty claims, and parts documentation.
- Maintain professional customer relations and represent SANY America’s brand and quality standards in all interactions.
Qualifications
- Technical degree or equivalent certification in diesel, hydraulics, or mechatronics preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of mobile or crawler crane service experience; OEM or dealer background preferred
- Strong understanding of the structure and operating principles of various crane configurations (e.g., luffing jib, super-lift), and ability to follow the manufacturer’s assembly and disassembly procedures.
- Strong working knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems, schematics, and load control devices.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and laptop-based service software.
- Valid driver’s license required; CDL Class B preferred.
- Ability to travel regionally (60–70%), occasionally nationwide for training or support.
