Hours: 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. Monday - Friday (hours may vary)

The Business Services Analyst, Associate supports the delivery, improvement, and analysis of core business services and operational processes. This position is responsible for assisting with data and project analysis, process documentation, budget reconciliation, updating databases, managing records, collaborating with City departments, coordinating procurement activities, tracking and monitoring budgets, specialized and technical support for our engineering unit and stakeholders.
Position Duties
- Prepares, maintains, reviews, and submits project manuals, purchase orders, meeting agendas, files, training materials, and other documents; processes payments; updates and maintains technical databases and online systems; performs basic research; compiles, verifies and/or reconciles information; reviews work for accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinates project operations; performs basic troubleshooting and user assistance for technology issues, routes complex technology issues to applicable staff/departments; tracks and monitors budgets and expenditures.
- Maintains databases and websites; prepares and updates web content, guiding staff on using websites, trains new hires on existing management software that department utilizes, troubleshooting issues, and performing basic database server maintenance duties.
- Collaborates with City departments, vendors, and/or external agencies to coordinate information, respond to inquiries and concerns, and assist with program logistics.
- Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in business administration or field related to assignment.
- Three years of experience related to assignment.
- A valid North Carolina Class C Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record acquired within a time frame established by the City.
Other Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, such as Munis or Oracle.
- Experience managing web content or databases.
