POSITION:                                              HSE Site Representative

POSITION PURPOSE:                         To support Drilling Superintendents, Rig Managers and their associated rig                                                                       operations in the implementation, use, and assessment of the Company                                                                             management system and processes.



PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Be proficient in the requirements of the Company’s management system including the Safety Management System and Operations Management System (to include policies, procedures, and expectations included in each), and assist the Drilling Superintendents and Rig Managers with ensuring they are in place and functioning consistently in order to achieve the goals and objectives of ICD.
  • Understand, demonstrate and teach that everyone has the responsibility, authority, and obligation to interrupt an operation if a condition or behavior is observed which could cause harm to people, assets or the environment. (Stop work authority)
  • Coach people in planning work, identifying risks, communicating, problem solving, and leadership. (e.g., STRIPE, STAR, and Management of Change processes, RAM chart etc.)
  • Coach and assist rig team personnel in performing physical and Company management system audits (Space Audits, Rig Inspections, etc.) using Company established checklists.
  • Assist the Drilling Superintendents and Rig Managers with the use of the EHS database.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of emergency response drills.
  • Attend and participate in HSE meetings / Pre-Tour meetings (both day and morning tour).
  • Coordinate with local HSE Advisor, or HSE Director as/if required, in situations where incident case management and / or investigations are warranted.
  • Perform additional HSE duties as needed or directed by the HSE Director.
  • Provide assistance to 3rd party personnel as necessary to comply with defined Company HSE policies, procedures and expectations.

 

PREREQUISITES:

High school education or equivalent

2-5 years of relevant industry experience

Skill in operating basic computer programs (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)



ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Complete all required training for position as listed on the People Development Matrix

Team-oriented and capable of influencing the behavior of others

Self-starter with proven problem-solving ability
