Job Description:
We welcome back prior interns from Summers of 2024/2025 to apply and continue their internship through their winter break. This is a continuation of a prior internship opportunity with ICT.
Job Duties:
- Work with licensed engineers to develop skills and knowledge
- Do photometrics and work with the software for preliminary lighting layouts.
- Encouraged to try to solve engineering problems using their education.
- Lay out equipment in spaces to meet project needs (lighting, fire alarm, and receptacles, etc.)
- Work with mechanical engineers to pick up power for their equipment.
- Assists in the preparation or modification of reports, specifications, plan, construction schedules, studies, permits, and designs for assigned projects.
- Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
- Operates engineering software to solve specific problems, and inputs the data required by the program.
- Familiarize themselves with state-of-the-art design and various state and local regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics
- Prior ICT Intern (2024-2025)
- Accepts direction and supervision well
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- ACAD/Revit experience a plus
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
