About the Position


Completes fair and accurate disposition of pending total loss claims through evaluation, settlement, or recommendation

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates total loss appraisals to effect settlement within authority
  • Uses available resources to determine accurate actual cash value
  • Negotiates vehicle value with 1st and 3rd parties and their representatives
  • Controls salvage costs and resolution.
  • Works with manager to resolve difficult situations
  • Develops and maintains claim files that document all activities
  • Evaluates and settles 1st and 3rd party substitute transportation claims.
  • Performs other activities as required

Qualifications

  • College degree or equivalent work experience required
  • 1+ years of property claims experience preferred
  • Total loss negotiation experience preferred
