About the Position
Completes fair and accurate disposition of pending total loss claims through evaluation, settlement, or recommendation
Responsibilities
- Evaluates total loss appraisals to effect settlement within authority
- Uses available resources to determine accurate actual cash value
- Negotiates vehicle value with 1st and 3rd parties and their representatives
- Controls salvage costs and resolution.
- Works with manager to resolve difficult situations
- Develops and maintains claim files that document all activities
- Evaluates and settles 1st and 3rd party substitute transportation claims.
- Performs other activities as required
Qualifications
- College degree or equivalent work experience required
- 1+ years of property claims experience preferred
- Total loss negotiation experience preferred
