Responsibilities:
- Perform basic calibrations of instruments on process and utility equipment.
- Assist the team with maintaining an up-to-date working spare parts inventory system for the equipment/ systems the team is responsible for.
- Ensure that calibration paperwork, instrument files and work order documentation is completed with accurate information.
- Participate in a detailed training program in order to develop one’s knowledge in the instrumentation field and other areas of the plant.
- Assist in the development, revision, and updating of related SOPs for work related areas.
- Configure and repair microprocessor-based instruments and controllers.
- Basic troubleshooting and repair of process control and laboratory instruments.
- All work must be completed in accordance with CFRs, cGMPs, SOPs, and company policies.
- Perform regular certification of equipment to verify conformance to industry standards and procedures.
- Maintain an up-to-date cGMP training book.
- Plan and schedule own work activities with operations staff to minimize impact to production activities.
- Other functions that may be assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in related area
- +2 years of Instrumentation experience.
- A craftsperson knowledgeable of pneumatic, mechanical, and electronic instrumentation.
- Knowledgeable in calibration PM, repair activities and troubleshooting equipment and system.
- Has received training or hands on experience in such specialized subjects as analog and/or digital electronics, microprocessors and/or computers, and the operation and maintenance of particular lines of field instrumentation.
- Ability to effectively communicate ideas through verbal and written form.
- Intermediate computer skills
- Ability to interact constructively with peers/teams.
- Ability to seek outside resources as needed.
